EnCom Alternative Energy

With the upset caused by extreme weather conditions in recent weeks and years, home and business owners are placing greater interest in the supply of reliable power sources, says Kelly Lunn.

His three-year old business, Encom Alternate Energy, Waverley , has found a special niche in providing clients with automatic standby generators, solar/wind energy, solar hot water and energy savings.

Lunn and representative sub-contracting companies will have a prominent display of products, literature and information for home show visitors stopping by its booth, he says.

“We’ll feature various energy-saving tools and solutions, including solar panels, generators, literature and product information. We’ll also offer show specials, including a $200 discount on generators sold at the home show.”

Those automatic standby generators range in capacity from seven kilowatts – “our biggest seller to homeowners” – to 150 kw for commercial industrial applications, such as service stations, supermarkets and restaurants. The seven kw units can run up to a week on a 400-liter propane tank (or on natural gas). It snaps into action a mere 30 seconds after power is lost, burns cleanly and quietly with virtually no emissions. With its own propane/gas fuel supply, it can run up to a week.”

The seven kw unit, he adds, will operate an oil-fired furnace, lights, TV, pumps, refrigerator, freezer, microwave: “virtually every electrical home requirement. It is, literally, your personal, in-home private power plant. When power is restored, the generator shuts off automatically and returns to its ‘always-on-guard’ standby mode.”

During the home show, Encom Alternative Energy also will display solar and wind generation units, individually designed to the specific needs of customers. Also, solar hot water systems, manufactured to exacting company specifications, that can cut oil costs up to 75 percent, and return investment in as little as two years.

The company, Lunn notes, “was founded for the purpose of analyzing and providing energy-saving solutions. We welcome every home show visitor interested in immediate, alternative power solutions to sudden, sustained power losses, to stop in at our booth.

“Our long-term company mission is to provide energy-saving, cost-efficient products and services. Our client goal is to ensure you’re not sitting alone, in the dark, next time a power outage strikes your home or business.”
